Integrations
Tellspin can follow an on-call rotation you already run in PagerDuty, Datadog, or OpsGenie. The external tool stays the source of truth. Tellspin reads who is on-call and keeps a Slack contact method — usually a user group such as @dev-on-call — pointed at that person.
That gives the rest of the team a non-incident way to reach whoever is on-call without leaving Slack.
Supported integrations
| Integration | Source of truth | Sync cadence |
|---|---|---|
| PagerDuty | PagerDuty schedule (must be on an escalation policy) | Every minute |
| Datadog | Datadog On-Call schedule | Every minute |
| OpsGenie | OpsGenie schedule | Every 5 minutes |
Handoffs and overrides made in the external tool show up in Slack on the next sync. Overrides created in Tellspin change who Slack reaches; they are not written back.
User mapping
Tellspin matches people by email address. Anyone whose email differs between Slack and the other tool has to be mapped by hand under Edit → Change User Mappings → Edit Users.
